OGALLALA, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska’s Lake Ogallala, located just east of Nebraska’s largest lake in western Nebraska, has been newly stocked with 10,000 rainbow trout.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says the Rock Creek State Fish Hatchery provided the game fish for Lake Ogallala, which is just east of Kingsley Dam on Lake McConaughy. The lake was stocked from April 4-15.

Also getting a new supply of trout this month were Pawnee Park West Lake in Columbus, TaHaZouka Park Lake in Norfolk, Neligh Park Pond in West Point and Holmes Lake in Lincoln.

This story has been corrected to show that Lake McConaughy is Nebraska’s largest lake, not Lake Ogallala.
