LAS VEGAS (AP) - Golden Gate Casino officials say they plan to open a branded sportsbook operation in June after the Nevada Gaming Commission approved a license for the downtown Las Vegas operation.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the Golden Gate, the D and the under-construction Circa resort plan to operate sportsbooks under the Circa Sports brand.
Gaming Commission approval came Thursday.
Currently, the D has a small sports betting parlor and Golden Gate has a sports wagering kiosk managed by statewide sportsbook operator William Hill.
D owner Derek Stevens has promised the biggest sportsbook in Las Vegas at Circa when it opens in late December 2020.
At 44 floors, the 777-room Circa resort is designed to be the tallest downtown hotel-casino.
It will be 10 stories taller than Stevens’ D hotel.
