CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The wife of Wyoming doctor accused in a prescription drug conspiracy that prosecutors say included the overdose death of an Arizona woman has pleaded guilty to a criminal count.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports 47-year-old Lyn Kahn pleaded guilty in Casper federal court Wednesday to a drug distribution conspiracy charge.
Attorneys are set to begin jury selection this week for the trial of Shakeel Kahn, who is charged with 21 felonies, including conspiracy to distribute prescription drugs resulting in death.
The doctor has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Lyn Kahn told authorities that she filled painkiller prescriptions and gave the pills to her husband. She said she also mailed painkillers on the instruction of her husband.
Lyn Kahn is scheduled to be sentenced in July.
