MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - A Montana man has pleaded not guilty to felony charges that accuse him of making or receiving a pipe bomb and illegally having guns.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports Charles Gibson Bailey of West Yellowstone appeared Tuesday in federal court in Missoula after being charged last month with possession of a destructive device made in violation of the law and unlawful manufacturing of a destructive device.

If convicted, both charges separately carry a maximum $10,000 fine and a maximum 10-year prison sentence.



Bailey also faces a charge of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. If convicted, the charge carries a maximum $250,000 fine and maximum 10-year prison sentence.

Bailey faces an additional stalking charge for violating an ex-girlfriend’s temporary order of protection. If convicted, Bailey faces a maximum $10,000 fine and a maximum five-year prison sentence.
