ROCKLAND, Maine (AP) - School officials have managed repairs to a Maine elementary school where student medications were stolen during a break-in.

Officials at Rockland’s South Elementary school had said classes would be cancelled Monday while repairs were made after the break-in, reported Saturday.

But a quick response from the school custodial staff and a local glass company means classes can be held Monday.

Rockland Police detective Alex Gaylor says medications appear to be the only thing stolen.

School superintendent John MacDonald says medications were stolen from the school during another break-in two years ago.

A post on the school’s Facebook page says parents of students whose medications were kept at the school “should make arrangements to replace them.”

The school serves children in grades kindergarten through grade 5.
