NEW YORK (AP) - Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver responsible for the death of an 89-year-old woman on Staten Island.

Police say Anastasia Diaz, of Staten Island, died after being struck by a vehicle while walking in the crosswalk at the intersection of Bradley and Purdy avenues at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the driver of the vehicle, described as a dark colored sedan, fled the scene.



There have been no arrests.
