PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a 10-year-old boy has died after a quad vehicle he was riding hit a parked car Saturday.

Sgt. James Rothschild says the crash took place about 1:30 p.m. at South 16th Avenue and West Wier Avenue.

Rothschild says the 10-year-old and a nine-year-old boy who was riding with him were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.



The 10-year-old died of his injuries. Police say the nine-year-old is in serious but stable condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
