NORTHFIELD, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont Department of Health is investigating the outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness that sickened more than two dozen students and staff at Norwich University.
Norovirus is suspected, but has not yet been confirmed.
Officials said Wednesday that the virus is spread easily from person to person and symptoms typically start 12 to 48 hours after being exposed.
There is no treatment but most people get better within one to three days.
