NEW YORK (AP) - The estranged husband of a missing Staten Island school teacher, whose charred remains were found in a storage facility, and his pregnant girlfriend have been indicted in connection with the woman’s death.

Prosecutors say a grand jury handed down the indictment Thursday against Michael Cammarata and Ayisha Egea. Information on the defendants’ lawyers was not available.

The exact charges remain sealed, but the two were arrested on murder charges earlier this month in connection with the death of 37-year-old Jeanine Cammarata, a mother of three.

The Public School 29 teacher was reported missing after she failed to show up for work. She also missed a court date in her divorce case. She was embroiled in a custody battle with Michael over their two children when she disappeared March 30.
