OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Authorities have issued a flash flood warning for parts of the Omaha metropolitan area.

The National Weather Service expects at least minor flooding Tuesday from the heavy rain dropped by storms passing over the area. The service says several spots in Douglas, Sarpy and Saunders counties have seen 2 or more inches (5 centimeters) of rain.

In Lincoln, the airport reported 1.2 inches (3 centimeters) of rain between 10 p.m. Monday and 3 a.m. Tuesday. That was on top of nearly 3.5 inches (9 centimeters) that fell earlier in the weekend.

More rain is expected Tuesday afternoon and night.
