HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Prosecutors say three New Haven men have pleaded guilty in Hartford federal court to charges related to their roles in a violent street gang.

The charges stem from investigations into unsolved shootings in New Haven and Hamden.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Connecticut says three firearms were used in 18 shootings in 2016 and those firearms were possessed by members and associates of the Goodrich Street Boys, a New Haven street gang.

Six people were indicted in August on racketeering, attempted murder, firearm and narcotics trafficking charges.

The office said Friday that Sedale Pervis, 26, Clifford Brodie, 21, and Michael Belle, 20, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity.

Pervis and Brodie also pleaded guilty to a firearms charge.

Two other men await sentencing and a third awaits trial.
