YORK, Pa. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of a man and a teenager killed in a shooting last week in central Pennsylvania.
The York County coroner’s office said 15-year-old Dezmen Jones died of a gunshot wound to the torso in the shooting Wednesday night at a house in York.
Officials said 28-year-old Jameel Murray was found dead at the scene in the backyard. Jones was found wounded and was pronounced dead at York Hospital. Neither were residents of the home.
Erin James, spokeswoman for the York City School District, said Dezmen was a freshman at William Penn High School. She said counseling was available for other students.
