Comedian Wanda Sykes received instant feedback Thursday night while trying out new material in New Jersey — a slew of fans walked out during her anti-Trump opening.

Over a dozen customers walked out of the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank over “Oh Well” tour material they say was more naked politics than comedy.

Shouts of “Do some comedy!” and too “Too political!” rang out from the crowd prior to the walkouts, The Asbury Park Press reported Friday.

One of the jokes included the idea that Americans were aging faster than the president during his time in office.

“I paid for a comedy show, not for a political venue,” Christine Delancey told the USA Today-affiliated newspaper.

“What do you expect? I’m a black lesbian,” said Ms. Sykes replied to hecklers, APP social media editor Courtney Marabella tweeted.

The scene was reminiscent of a Salt Lake City walkout by fans of comedian David Cross in August.

Mr. Cross told his audience that he fantasized about “beating President Donald Trump to a bloody pulp and then urinating and defecating on him,” the Salt Lake Tribune reported Aug. 23.
