CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A church in Concord, New Hampshire, is lighting up the night sky for the first time since the 1980s.
The Concord Monitor reports the lights inside the 165-foot granite tower at the First Church of Christ, Scientist are shining once again as the church finishes a four-year renovation.
The church was built in 1904 due to the efforts of Mary Baker Eddy, who founded the Pulitzer Prize-winning publication Christian Science Monitor.
Renovations have been priced at $2.5 million, and they include updating the electrical systems, cleaning stained glass windows, and cleaning organ pipes.
The original rubber flooring will be replaced with cork next month.
Church officials estimate the project will be complete by early December.
