OPINION:
The same people who invented a “war on women” have unleashed over time a real and virulent war on men, a war that casts aside justice and ignores basic rights.
The ethical principle involved in the casting of stones at U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanagh is this: Every person has an unalienable right to a good name and the honor added to it through their own efforts. This can be credibly attacked only for a grave reason, not for an antique recollection of a questionable event that cannot be substantiated. Such recollections are designed not to acquire justice, but only to do harm, and for this reason there are laws against slander and calumny.
The right to be well thought of is earned, consequently malicious harm done to a person’s good name demands restitution. It’s time for men to stand up for themselves in the face of today’s onslaughts, or we cannot stand as a country.
