AAA: Michigan gas prices up 1 cent to $2.94 per gallon

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) - AAA Michigan says average gas prices statewide are up about 1 cent in the past week to about $2.94 per gallon.

The Dearborn-based auto club says early Monday the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is about 38 cents more than at the same point last year.

Michigan’s lowest average price was about $2.75 per gallon in the Traverse City area. The highest was in the Ann Arbor area at about $2.97 a gallon.

The Detroit-area’s average was about $2.92 per gallon, about the same as last week.

AAA Michigan surveys daily fuel prices at 2,800 gas stations across the state.
