OPINION:
Friday’s front page of The Washington Times carried a story about California Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein forwarding a letter to investigators concerning U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh (“Kavanaugh denies allegation of sexual misconduct in school,” Web, Sept. 14).
Television reports last Thursday night stated the senator just did this Thursday. Those reports also said she had had this letter since July of this year.
If both of these reportings are accurate (and I don’t doubt either), then the senator should be arrested for obstruction of justice. To hold onto information you believe is substantive and pertinent to a crime is obstruction of justice.
My take is that this is nothing more than another Democratic tactic to delay and derail the Kavanaugh nomination. When all else fails, make things up and see if that can do what the truth cannot.
