PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a man has died after being struck by a car while he was crossing the street.
Sgt. Armando M. Carbajal says the man was crossing West Broadway Road in the middle of the 1700-block shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday when he was struck by an eastbound sedan. He was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The driver was a 31-year-old man who remained at the scene. Carbajal said Thursday that impairment was not suspected in the accident.
Authorities did not release the name of the pedestrian or the driver.
