COPPELL, Texas (AP) - Texas and nationwide retail gasoline prices are down a penny this week.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump statewide was $2.61 per gallon. Drivers across the country are paying an average $2.84 per gallon.
The association survey found Lubbock has the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at an average $2.52 per gallon. The most expensive gasoline statewide was in Midland at an average $3.04 per gallon.
AAA experts say demand for gasoline has been strong in most places across the U.S., with regional gasoline inventories marking a small increase this week.
