BENSON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police troopers say one person was seriously injured in a crash that saw a pickup truck crash into a stopped tractor trailer.
Police say the crash took place Friday morning near Lussier Farm in Benson. The Rutland Herald reports 48-year-old Luis Rafael Vega Solorio’s tractor trailer was stopped for construction when 59-year-old Monty Springer rear-ended the trailer.
Springer was seriously injured in the crash and wrecked his truck. The tractor trailer sustained damage to the rear and Solorio was not injured. Both men were wearing seatbelts.
A number of police and fire officials were on hand to assist with the investigation.
