NEW YORK (AP) - In a story Oct. 5 about a chemistry accident at a school, The Associated Press misidentified the school. The accident occurred at the High School for Violin and Dance, not the Bronx International High School, another school in the same building.

Two teenage girls have suffered burns in a chemistry experiment at a New York City high school
NEW YORK (AP) - Two teenage girls have suffered burns in a chemistry experiment at a New York City high school.
The accident happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. Friday at the High School for Violin and Dance, one of four schools that share the Morris Educational Complex in the Bronx.
WABC-TV reports that the two students suffered burns to their faces, arms and hands when vapors from a bottle of alcohol caught fire.
Department of Education spokeswoman Miranda Barbot says the students are in stable condition being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
She says the school’s chemistry lab will be out of use until the Fire Department completes its investigation into the accident.
