HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Officials say a student who took a gun to a high school in Alabama has been suspended and could be expelled.
News outlets quote an email Columbia High School Principal Clifford Porter sent to parents. He says in it that administrators received a tip Tuesday afternoon about a student who brought a gun on the Huntsville school’s campus.
Porter says security and school resource officers found the student and the weapon minutes after officials had been notified. He says the student will be recommended for expulsion.
School officials did not provide further details.
