WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Four people were injured when a car jumped a curb outside Southern California’s famous Whisky a Go Go nightclub where a late-night crowd was gathered.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Hector Mancinas tells City News Service all of the injuries were minor.

The crash occurred outside the Sunset Strip club just before midnight Tuesday.

Witnesses tell KCBS-TV the crash could have been worse but the car was stopped by a pole that supports an awning outside the doorway.

The unidentified driver was held for investigation of driving under the influence.
