LORAIN, Ohio (AP) - Police say a van has struck and killed a bicyclist in northeast Ohio.
Lorain police say the van collided with a man on a bicycle around 11:30 p.m. Sunday and then ran off the road and struck a row of trees.
Police said the bicyclist who died from his injuries has been identified as 38-year-old Laqua Butler, of Lorain.
Authorities say the Lorain woman who was driving the van had an infant with her and is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time. Neither the woman nor the infant were injured.
Police say the crash remains under investigation. Authorities say Butler was not wearing a helmet.
