DRAPER, Utah (AP) - Authorities say a paraglider suffered serious injuries Friday when he fell about 40 feet (12 meters) at a state park south of Salt Lake City.

KSL-TV reports that officials said it’s not clear why the paraglider fell at Flight Park State Recreation Area and that he was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Lehi Fire Battalion Chief Jake Beck the paraglider had general trauma and that his injuries caused difficulty breathing.
