Memphis says the agreement will allow research faculty and students from both entities to work together in areas of mutual interest, with the goal of developing meaningful, grant-funded projects.
The Czech academy is made up of 54 research institutions. Its scholars are working in the areas of bioscience, transportation, cybersecurity, machine learning, criminal justice, earthquakes, financial infrastructure security, mobile health and addiction
The university hopes to enhance its research profile in the European Union. University president David Rudd said in a statement that the collaboration will help “leverage research funding on both sides of the Atlantic.”
