CONCORD, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a man doing construction work at a Massachusetts school has died in an industrial accident.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Concord police Chief Joseph O’Connor say the 55-year-old man was operating a boom truck at the Willard Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by the crane.
The preliminary investigation shows that the man was outside of the vehicle when an apparent mechanical failure occurred, resulting in him being struck by the equipment.
His name was not released but he was from Sutton.
The death is not considered suspicious but remains under investigation.
