JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a Florida woman and her boyfriend have been charged more than two months after the death of the woman’s 5-year-old daughter.
The Florida Times-Union reports that Jonte Dominique Harris and Michelle Lynn Cannimore, both 26, were arrested last week and charged with aggravated child abuse and other counts.
Jacksonville police responded to the couple’s apartment in August after Zykerria Robinson was found unresponsive in a bathtub. A hospital medical exam showed multiple injuries on Zykerria’s body in multiple stages of healing, which is indicative of long-term abuse.
Harris and Cannimore remained in custody Tuesday. Jail records didn’t list attorneys.
