PROCTOR, Vt. (AP) - Two buildings donated to Vermont’s College of St. Joseph in 2014 are now up for auction.

The auctions for the buildings at 39 and 61 Main Street in Proctor will be held Friday. Tranzon Auction Properties assistant Lauren Gamache tells the Rutland Herald that prospective bidders are encouraged to sign up online in advance, but can also sign up at the auction.

CSJ President Jennifer Scott says the school originally planned to use the buildings to house faculty and staff for a physician’s assistant program that never came to fruition. The college has seen financial struggles, and Scott says steps are being taken to improve its financial health.

Scott says the buildings came to the college in good shape, and she is excited to meet with whoever buys the buildings.
