NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities say members of a window washing crew were able to climb to safety inside a midtown Manhattan high-rise after their scaffolding rig got loose at least 20 floors above street level.
The New York City Fire Department says one person sustained minor injuries in the incident around 5 p.m. Tuesday at an office tower in the new Hudson Yards complex.
Crowds gathered near the building as firefighters worked to secure the dangling rig. Several people streamed live video of the drama.
