BOSTON (AP) - The average price of a gallon of gasoline in Massachusetts has dropped 4 cents in the past week to its lowest level in three months.
AAA Northeast said Monday that its weekly survey found self-serve, regular selling for an average of $2.80 per gallon, a nickel lower than the national average but 31 cents higher than it was in Massachusetts a year ago.
AAA found regular selling for as low as $2.62 per gallon and as high as $3.09.
Prices are dropping thanks to stable inventories and lower demand, but AAA warns that U.S.-Saudi Arabia relations and upcoming U.S.-imposed sanctions on Iran’s crude exports could affect prices.
