Three ski resorts are now up and running in Colorado, with Loveland and Arapahoe Basin joining Wolf Creek in welcoming snow riders for the 2018-19 season.

Loveland Ski Area opened Saturday with the debut of its first high-speed quad chairlift, named Chet’s Dream after the late Chet Upham, the resort’s longtime owner.

Arapahoe Basin opened Friday with a New Year’s Eve-style countdown over the speaker system.

Last weekend, Wolf Creek became the first Colorado resort to open, but it’s operating only on weekends so far.
