For many years, there have been persistent attempts to hasten the “inevitable rot” of society: The presumption of guilt until proven innocent, promoting conflict by creating artificial antipathies between demographic groups, teaching children what to think (and especially, what not to think) rather than how to think, leveraging precepts of moral relativism to validate venality and the preference for form over function and emotion over reason. In short, we’re seeing the justification of mob rule in the name of social justice.

A perfect example is Sen. Ted Cruz and his wife being driven from a restaurant recently by a mob of social-justice warriors. If an individual has the temerity to think outside of what’s permitted by the banal conformity of the mob, then treating them in a wholly uncivilized way is not only acceptable, but a form of virtue signaling.

All of these efforts, frequently illustrated by events such as the circus around Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation, are undertaken to “rot the apple.” While the perpetrators are generally driven by perverted notions of “justice” with which they’ve been subliminally inculcated since childhood, those who pull the strings desire the destruction of culture, sovereignty and ideals in order to spiral down to the low-energy, historical inevitability of socialism.

We’ve managed to hang onto our Republic for fewer than 250 years, and only through the extraordinary sacrifice and effort of our citizens and legal immigrants. Let us not allow our nation to fall off a log into anarchy and the consequences of the mob’s increasing influence. Don’t allow the mob to tell you what to think. Exercise your independent critical-thinking skills to comprehend what’s beyond the banal conformity of the mob and those who pull their strings.
