ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) - A St. Joseph man has been charged with grabbing a pistol from under his bed and fatally shooting another man through a window after an argument.

The St. Joseph News-Press reports that 22-year-old Brandon Cox is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Clifford York. No attorney is listed for him in online court records. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only.

Charging documents say the men began arguing last week after York tapped on the window of Cox’s home north of downtown. Cox was seen at the scene with blood on his hand and face shortly after the shooting. He is accused of fleeing through an alley before officers arrived.

York was found in Cox’s backyard.
