IRVING, Texas (AP) - Authorities say nobody has been hurt in a school bus fire that destroyed the vehicle transporting students from a district near Dallas.

The bus from the Coppell (kuh-PEHL’) Independent School District caught fire Wednesday morning while in Irving. A district statement says two students, the driver and a monitor who were on board safely evacuated.

Fire department officials say the bus driver called 911 after noticing smoke. Officials are trying to determine the cause of the blaze.



Further details weren’t immediately available.

Irving is 10 miles (16.09 kilometers) west of Dallas.
