OPINION:
Hillary Clinton and Eric Holder tell Democrats to “reject civility” (“Michelle Obama rejects Eric Holder’s, Hillary Clinton’s rhetoric: ’Fear is not a proper motivator,’” Web, Oct. 11). Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters said “to get in the faces of administration officials.” Democratic activists are intimidating the public with no repercussions. Democratic presidential hopefuls are encouraging resistance. Really? Resistance to what? The economy, jobs and optimism are at record highs. Unemployment is at record lows. Tax cuts and trade deals are bringing manufacturing jobs back. Hostages have been released without any preconditions. Our fallen heroes from the Korean War are finally being returned. As a veteran, I am so thankful. The Trump administration has made and kept its promises.
Getting a good job and moving out of your parents’ basement can only happen if you vote Republican. A Democratic Congress will reverse all these gains. Democrats want free health care for all, but in truth nothing is free ($32 trillion). The middle class will pay for it while the quality of care, specially for seniors, will suffer.
What we have witnessed from the Democrats over the past two months poses this question: Do we want a country of mob rule, or one of due process and the rule of law? Republicans will keep America safer, freer and more prosperous. We want jobs, not mobs.
