Barack Obama released a video Wednesday geared toward young voters, urging them to head to the polls on Nov. 6 to elect politicians “who actually know what the internet is.”

In the “Get Out The Vote” video from media company ATTN, the former president says young voters finally have the chance to elect a diverse Congress that’s “representative of America as a whole.”

“You remember those hearings where members of Congress were asking [Facebook CEO] Mark Zuckerberg questions like they’d never used the internet before? That’s because they haven’t. Here’s your chance to vote for people who actually know what the internet is,” Mr. Obama says in the video as footage plays of Republican Sens. John Cornyn, Roy Blunt and Lindsey Graham.

“You wouldn’t let your grandparents pick your playlist,” the former president says at another point in the video. “Why would you let them pick your representative who’s going to determine your future?”

Mr. Obama said another excuse people use for not voting is that they’re not informed enough on the candidates.

“You can’t use Google to figure out which candidates on your local ballot think that the earth is flat and climate change is a hoax?” he asked. “Google is super easy to read.”
