OVERTON, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a two-vehicle crash has killed three people in central Nebraska’s Dawson County.

The Nebraska State Patrol says the crash happened just before 2 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 30 between Overton and Elm Creek. The patrol says a southbound car failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with an eastbound sport utility vehicle.

Three passengers in the car were killed. The patrol says 20-year-old Donald Anderson, of Overton, 27-year-old Karli Michael, of Pontiac, Illinois, and 18-year-old Ziera Nickerson, of Kearney, were all pronounced deceased at the scene. The car’s 20-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger were taken to a Kearney hospital.

The patrol says the driver of the SUV was treated for minor injuries on the scene.
