LUNENBURG, Mass. (AP) - More than a dozen cows have been rescued from a barn that was struck after a grain silo collapsed in Massachusetts.
Fire officials say the collapse happened at Cherry Hill Farm in Lunenburg on Sunday.
One cow was seriously hurt by debris and had to be euthanized. Another 13 cows, mostly calves, were trapped inside.
Multiple fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene, and they rescued the remaining cows from the barn by 2 p.m.
No people were injured in the collapse.
Fire officials say the barn owners are working to find a temporary location for the animals.
The cause of the collapse is under investigation.
