CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - The University of Illinois has decided not to let Mother Nature rain on its parade.

The (Champaign) News-Gazette reports that the school has notified people with a mass mail that Saturday evening’s homecoming parade in Champaign has been cancelled due to a forecast of cold, wet and just plain miserable weather.

The school also decided to move indoors a carnival that was scheduled for the Quad and outdoor events could resume if the weather clears up.
