BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Two Bismarck police officers suffered minor injuries when their sport utility vehicle was struck by a car.

The Highway Patrol says the crash happened shortly before midnight Tuesday at a city intersection. Officers Tanner Hersch and Ryan Guggenberger were treated for unspecified injuries at a hospital and released.

The driver of the car also was taken to a hospital with injuries. The Bismarck Tribune reports police believe he was fleeing from other officers who wanted to make a traffic stop for no license plates and no temporary registration. Charges are pending against him.
