BOSTON (AP) - The average cost of gasoline in Massachusetts has inched down a penny.

AAA Northeast says Monday that self-serve, regular is now selling for an average of $2.79 per gallon.

The Massachusetts price is 3 cents higher than the national average and 32 cents higher that it was in the state a year ago.



AAA’s weekly survey found a wide disparity in the price of self-serve, regular, from a low of $2.52 to a high of $3.09 per gallon.
