The Washington Redskins can go 6-2 to start the season for the first time since 2008. All they need to do is defeat one of the most banged-up teams in the NFL at home.
Here’s everything you need to know before the Redskins kick off today:
Opponent: Atlanta Falcons (3-4)
Where: FedEx Field, Landover, Maryland
When: Sunday, Nov. 4, 1:00 p.m.
Television: Fox
Radio: The Team 980
What to watch for: After an awful start to the season for the team who lost the Super Bowl just two years ago, the Falcons come out of their bye Sunday having won two straight … Expect it to be one-dimensional whenever Atlanta has the ball. The Redskins are second in the league in stopping the run, allowing only 80.1 yards per game, while the Falcons have suffered with Devonta Freeman injured and average the third-fewest rushing yards per game at 83.3. Atlanta’s best bet is on Matt Ryan’s throwing arm … Among the Falcons who will be inactive is their longtime kicker, Matt Bryant, with a hamstring injury. Giorgio Tavecchio will kick for Atlanta for the second time this year.
