TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Pima County man convicted in a hit-and-run accident that killed a Tucson bicyclist has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

Tucson TV station KOLD reports Eric Joseph Corral also was sentenced Thursday to eight years of probation that will run concurrently with his prison term.

Corral was found guilty last month of negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident and two DUI charges.

Authorities say 58-year-old Scott Koch was fatally struck by a vehicle was riding his bike in August 2016.

Two hours after the accident, authorities say Corral’s blood-alcohol level was 0.313 percent. That’s more than double the legal limit for drivers in Arizona.
