LINCOLN, Maine (AP) - Community health care centers in Maine are receiving more than $11 million from the federal government to try to improve services.

The money is coming through the Health Resources and Services Administration. The largest grant is an award of nearly $4 million that is going to Healthreach Community Health Centers in Waterville.

Portland Community Health Center will receive more than $3.5 million. Health Access Network in Lincoln will get nearly $2.9 million, while Regional Medical Center in Lubec will get nearly $1.3 million.



Community health centers are the source of care for more than 200,000 people in Maine.
