A liberal group in Iowa announced Thursday that a few of the lesser-known potential 2020 presidential contenders will be headlining their holiday bash next month.

South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Jeff Merkley of Oregon and Rep. Eric Swallwell of California are slated to appear at Progress Iowa’s sixth annual party on Dec. 20 in Des Moines.

The visits to Iowa, which traditionally opens up the presidential nomination race with the caucuses, are certain to renew speculation over whether the three Democrats are testing the waters ahead of 2020 bids.

Andrew Yang, founder of Venture for America, who has already announced he is running, also is scheduled speak, along with Reps-elect Cindy Axne and Abby Finkenauer.
