TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police say a motorcyclist has been killed after striking the side of a car that crossed the roadway in front of him.

Police say in a statement that 66-year-old Stephen Florio did at a local hospital after the 2 p.m. Saturday accident.

Florio was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on 22nd Street when a small sedan pulled out in front of him from a side street. He laid the motorcycle onto its side but was unable to avoid hitting the car.



The 16-year-old driver wasn’t hurt and immediately stopped and cooperated with investigators. Three teenage passengers in his car were also unhurt.

No citations have been issued.
