Man found outside hospital with gunshot wounds dies inside

GARY, Ind. (AP) - Indiana authorities say a 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds died in an emergency room after he was found lying on the ground outside the Gary hospital.

Police said in a release Sunday that staff from Methodist Hospital Northlake reported the man’s body was discovered by firefighters Saturday night. He had been dropped off near the emergency room doors by an unknown vehicle that fled.

The man, who had been shot in the back, was being treated when he died.
