SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Authorities in eastern Washington say a pedestrian in a crosswalk died after being hit by a vehicle.

Authorities in Spokane tell KREM-TV that emergency crews responded at about 4 p.m. Friday.

Officials say an eastbound car struck the pedestrian in the crosswalk on East 29th Avenue. The person was taken to a local hospital but later died.



Police say the motorist is cooperating with investigators.

Names haven’t been released.
