ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police have released the name of a man who died in a fiery crash of a sport utility vehicle.
Police say 32-year-old David Hummel Jr. died Sunday.
Hummel was driving an SUV south on Minnesota Drive, a four-lane highway with a speed limit of 60 mph.
The SUV left the roadway at 100th Avenue, struck a light pole and burst into flames.
Other drivers stopped and tried to pull Hummel from the crash but could not because of the fire. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
